"Angels: God's Special Agents"
Did you know there are over 300 instances in the Bible where Angels are mentioned? These heavenly beings have been involved in nearly every stage of God's redemption of human life. From guarding the entry to the Garden of Eden to the last scenes in Revelation, Angels function as God's messengers and agents both in heaven and on earth.
So, why don't we ever talk about them? Or study the role they play? Perhaps it seems a bit strange or awkward to talk about invisible (or so we think) beings who are from another realm. Can they possibly exist? Can our modern minds admit to this?
But, the Bible tells us they are, in fact, real. So, over the next few weeks we'll dig into discovering what the Bible has to say about them. (Hint: Angels care about us and ultimately point us to Jesus!
“In the beginning, Lord, you founded the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands;
they will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like clothing;
like a cloak you will roll them up,
and like clothing they will be changed.
But you are the same,
and your years will never end.”
But to which of the angels has he ever said,
“Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”?
Are not all angels spirits in the divine service, sent to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?
