Greetings NewDay friends,
I’m really looking forward to Sunday. As we’ve been navigating through the ethics of discipleship and how to find our sense of vocation within it, Pastor Kari and I have been discussing the need to firmly establish a sense of wonder, awe, and curiosity to meet and strengthen our calling. This Sunday, I’ve been asked to meditate on wonder and how it intersects with work and purpose. So I hope you’ll all join me on a reflection of Job, featuring selections of chapters 38 through 42. These chapters are, of course, in the backdrop of suffering. But their message and intonation is an invitation to absolute wonder for those willing to hear it; let’s pray to hear it together to enliven our sense of work, purpose, and meaning in discipleship.
