Living In A New Reality
Pastor Kari Jacott
”Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark,
”Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone
had been removed from the entrance. So she came running
to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one Jesus loved, and
said, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t
know where they have put him!”

It All Started With A Parade
Pastor Kari Jacott
”Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus
from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to
spread the word. Many people, because they had heard that
he had performed this sign, went out to meet him.  So the
Pharisees said to one another, “See, this is getting us nowhere.
Look how the whole world has gone after him!”

The Cost of Following Jesus
Kari Jacott
”Now there were some Greeks among those who went
up to worship at the festival. They came to Philip, who was
from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we
would like to see Jesus.” Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew
and Philip in turn told Jesus.”

Lent - Discipleship Through The Lenten Journey
Zach Lovig
”Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so
must the Human One be lifted up so that everyone who
believes in him will have eternal life. God so loved the world
that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in
him won’t perish but will have eternal life. God didn’t send
his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world
might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him isn’t
judged; whoever doesn’t believe in him is already judged,
because they don’t believe in the name of God’s only Son.”

Seeing The Process Through
Pastor Kari Jacott
”Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You have permission to speak for yourself.”
So Paul motioned with his hand and began his defense:  “King Agrippa,
I consider myself fortunate to stand before you today as I make my
defense against all the accusations of the Jews,  and especially so
because you are well acquainted with all the Jewish customs and
controversies. Therefore, I beg you to listen to me patiently.”

When Opportunity Knocks
Pastor Kari Jacott
”Five days later the high priest Ananias went down to
Caesarea with some of the elders and a lawyer named
Tertullus, and they brought their charges against Paul
before the governor. When Paul was called in, Tertullus
presented his case before Felix: “We have enjoyed a long
period of peace under you, and your foresight has brought
about reforms in this nation. Everywhere and in every way,
most excellent Felix, we acknowledge this with profound
gratitude. But in order not to weary you further, I would
request that you be kind enough to hear us briefly.”

Dividing and Conquering
Pastor Kari Jacott
”Paul looked straight at the Sanhedrin and said, “My brothers, I
have fulfilled my duty to God in all good conscience to this day.” |
At this the high priest Ananias ordered those standing near Paul
to strike him on the mouth. Then Paul said to him, “God will strike y
ou, you whitewashed wall! You sit there to judge me according to the
law, yet you yourself violate the law by commanding that I be struck!”

Acts 21
Rev. Phil Tolbert
”After we had torn ourselves away from them, we put out to sea
and sailed straight to Kos. The next day we went to Rhodes and from
there to Patara.  We found a ship crossing over to Phoenicia, went on
board and set sail.  After sighting Cyprus and passing to the south of it,
we sailed on to Syria. We landed at Tyre, where our ship was to unload
its cargo.  We sought out the disciples there and stayed with them seven
days. Through the Spirit they urged Paul not to go on to Jerusalem.  When it
was time to leave, we left and continued on our way. All of them, including
wives and children, accompanied us out of the city, and there on the beach
we knelt to pray.  After saying goodbye to each other, we went aboard the ship,
and they returned home.”

ACTS 19
Pastor Zach Lovig
”While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the
interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples
and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”
They answered, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”
So Paul asked, “Then what baptism did you receive?”
“John’s baptism,” they replied.”

Robust and Resilient Discipleship
Pastor Steve Eng
”When Paul and his companions had passed through Amphipolis
and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a
Jewish synagogue. As was his custom, Paul went into the synagogue,
and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures,
explaining and proving that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from
the dead. “This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah,” he
said. Some of the Jews were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, as
did a large number of God-fearing Greeks and quite a few prominent
women.”

Discipleship 101
Pastor Kari Jacott
Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and were
teaching the believers: “Unless you are circumcised, according
to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.” This brought
Paul and Barnabas into sharp dispute and debate with them. So
Paul and Barnabas were appointed, along with some other believers,
to go up to Jerusalem to see the apostles and elders about this question.
The church sent them on their way, and as they traveled through Phoenicia
and Samaria, they told how the Gentiles had been converted. This news
made all the believers very glad.

On A Mission For God
”Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers:
Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had
been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul.  While they were
worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for
me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So
after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them
and sent them off.”
